Oliver Shi is a landscape designer at Field Operations in New York City. His design distills indigenous culture and nature to abstract modern language. Born in Shandong, China, Oliver Shi draws inspirations from diverse cultures and complex ecological environments. He holds a BSLA from Colorado State University and a MLA from Harvard GSD. He was awarded Harvard GSD Dean's Merit Scholarship and ASLA Student Honor Award from CSU. His recent built work Zhongshan Talents Park won IFLA Asia-Pac LA award. As a design lead for The Wings pavilion and the Leaf Plaza, he creates landmarks for the city to celebrate its cultural identity and egret habitats.
